# Commercial License `braincell-mcp` is dual-licensed. ## 1. Open-source license — AGPL-3.0-or-later (default) The public license for `braincell-mcp` is the **GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later** (see `LICENSE`). You may use, modify, and self-host it for free under those terms. In particular, the AGPL requires that **if you incorporate `braincell-mcp` into a product you distribute, or make it available to others over a network (SaaS), you must release the complete corresponding source of that product under the AGPL.** If that obligation works for you, you need nothing else — use it under the AGPL. ## 2. Commercial license (for proprietary / closed-source use) If you want to incorporate `braincell-mcp` into a **proprietary or closed-source product**, or offer it as a hosted service, **without** the AGPL's source-disclosure (copyleft) obligations, you need a **commercial license**. A commercial license grants you the right to use `braincell-mcp` in closed-source and commercial products without triggering the AGPL's copyleft requirements. Terms (scope, support, pricing) are negotiated per agreement. Copyright in `braincell-mcp` is held solely by **Karl Toussaint (kt2saint)**, who, as sole author and copyright holder, is the only party able to grant this commercial license. ### Contact For commercial licensing enquiries, email **Karl Toussaint** at **kt2saint.create@gmail.com**, or open a thread in the project's GitHub Discussions: **https://github.com/kt2saint-sec/braincell/discussions** (The copyright holder will follow up to negotiate scope, support, and pricing.) --- *Not legal advice. The AGPL is the binding open-source license; this file describes the availability of a separate commercial license from the copyright holder.*
